UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) Statement
Effective date: 2026-05-10.
Bina is a UAE-based service. We comply with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection (UAE PDPL) and any implementing regulations issued by the UAE Data Office.
Lawful basis
We process personal data under the following lawful bases under PDPL:
- Consent — where you explicitly opt in (e.g. marketing emails).
- Contract — to deliver the service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interest — to detect abuse, secure the platform, and improve Bina in aggregate.
- Legal obligation — to keep financial and tax records as required by UAE FTA / Commercial Companies Law.
Data Office registration
Bina is operated by Missan Group of Companies. Where required, we maintain registration with the UAE Data Office and appoint a Data Protection Officer. Contact the DPO at hello@bina.so.
Cross-border transfer
Some Bina sub-processors are based outside the UAE (e.g. Anthropic in the US, Stripe in the US/UK, Sentry in the US). Such transfers are made only where the destination provides adequate protection, or where transfer is necessary to perform the contract you have with us, in line with PDPL Articles 22-23.
